Alcohol
Impairs Your Judgment
Have you ever been waiting
for someone who has been drinking? Do they
ever seem to loose track of time? This is one
problem with impaired judgment. The sober loved
one is wondering and worrying why their loved one
hasn't called and should be either home or
somewhere else they promised. It can be
heartbreaking for the non-alcoholic.
This is just one aspect of the disease of
alcoholism. Impaired judgment effects finances
(debit cards and credit cards are very dangerous
in an intoxicated state). Something turns
off in the brain and it is running on what they
call the "Primitive Brain".
Every one of us has
“primitive brain” (that part of the human nervous
system dedicated to our survival).
Sounds pretty self-explanatory. All that means to
me in very simplistic terms is that
conscience and judgment and the drinker's usual
wonderful character seems to have left the
building...
Alcohol
impairs personal relations.
Ever been out on
a "mission" when your significant other has been
bothering you, or you have been fighting?
Consuming alcohol is very dangerous in this
situation. How many times have you heard, "My
spouse drove me to drink", or "My girlfriend made
drove me so crazy I just HAD to escape? Well, to
anyone that is not in the throws of
addiction, this
is definitely just an excuse. We are all
responsible for our own actions.
